Nancy Fisher

Daughter of Avery Fisher; Founder of SCAN New York; Interviewer at USC Shoah Foundation; Advisor to the Executive Committee of the Avery Fisher Artist Program

Interviews with Nancy Fisher conducted April 23, 2019 and May 22, 2019 by Gerry Albarelli for the Columbia Center for Oral History, Avery Fisher Artist Program Oral History Project. 

Nancy Fisher is the daughter of Avery Fisher, and was part of the 2014 agreement with Lincoln Center for the renaming of Avery Fisher Hall.  She serves as an advisor to the Avery Fisher Artist Program’s Executive Committee. In 1977, she founded SCAN New York, an organization dealing with cases of child abuse or neglect, and is currently an interviewer for the Shoah Foundation, which is collecting oral histories from Holocaust survivors.
